About me
I have been directing and editing films, music videos and commercial videos since 2013. My first short film was shot in NU Boyana Studios in 2015 with the kind support of Yariv Lerner, who liked my pitch and decided to endorse the project. It was selected at the Golden Rose Film Festival. My second short film “Pale Blue Dot” got selected as a finalist by Academy Award nominee Richard Linklater at CineSpace, Houston Cinema Arts Festival, and was also in the official selection of Oakville Film Festival and Berlin Short Film Festival. It got the the jury award for best sci-fi at Cannes Short Film Festival and the silver award for best acting duo at the Independent Shorts Awards.
I have also directed a number of music videos, including “Ivailo Kolev - Ne Kato Men”, “Delya - Ne Si”, “2 Naum - Promenen”, “The Dead Captain - Nahapano”, “Chaz’n’Byanka - Do me a Favor”, and many others. I have directed projects featuring Etien Levi, Milena Slavova, Miryan Kostadinov and have also worked closely with Evelina Pavlova on her platforms “Teen Station” and “Triple Eye” (alongside Iva Doychinova and Elena Rosberg).
As an editor and part of Handplayed's creative team, I have worked on a number of short films, music videos, and commercials for clients such as DSK Bank, Lidl, Devin, Multisport, and others. I was the editor of American artist Tinashe’s Facebook production dance-battle reality show “Tinashe’s Choreo Cage Fight”. I was also the editor of Veselin Dimanov’s highly successful Bulgarian feature documentary “Morality is Goodness”, which got nominated for best editing, best direction, best cinematography, and best score by The Union of Bulgarian Film Makers. It won the “Best Documentary Debut” award.
